Bishop Prasad Gallela was born on April 7, 1962 at Adoni, Kurnool district. He was ordained a priest on March 1, 1989, and was appointed Bishop of Cuddapah on 31 January 31, 2008. His episcopal ordination was on March 1, 2008. Prior to his appointment Bishop Gallela has been professor and spiritual director in St John's Regional Major seminary, Konddadaba, Visakhapatnam.
