Bishop Stephen Rotluanga, CSC, was born on June 8, 1952, in Aizawl, Mizoram state. He was ordained priest on Dec. 13, 1981, in the Congregation of the Holy Cross. He was appointed bishop of Aizawl on Nov . 7, 2001, and was ordained bishop on Feb. 2, 2002. Prior to that, he served as director of formation, art and communications at Holy Cross School in Agartala, in the neighboring state of Tripura.
