Bishop George Rajendran Kuttinadar, S.D.B, was born on Apr. 14, 1968, in the parish of Padanthalumoodu, under the eparchy of Thuckalay. He took his first vows in the congregation on 23-5-1994 and perpetual vows on 23-5-2002. He was ordained priest on Dec. 29, 2003. He had his philosophical studies in Nashik, and theological studies in Shillong. He was assistant headmaster in Guwahati DB School, prefect of studies in Savio Juinorate, Vice Principal of St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong, and vice rector of the Minor Seminary.

The See of Thuckalay fell vacant when Mar George Alencherry assumed office as the major archbishop of the Syro-Malabar Church on May 9, 2012.

Bishop George Rajendran Kuttinadar was appointed as the new bishop of Thukalay on Aug 24, 2012. His was ordained as bishop on Sept. 16, 2012.
